Nannigai Drive Reserve celebrations

Nannigai Drive Reserve Playground

The event will include the official unveilling of a plaque to mark the upgrade. Families will be able to enjoy an exciting range of new facilities and a free morning tea. The celebration event will also include come ‘n’ try Tai Chi sessions.

What work has been done?

Council has invested $550,000 in transforming the reserve. There is a new playground, scooter path and multipurpose sports court for basketball, tennis and soccer.

Other new features include:

  • Irrigated lawn area
  • Stepping logs and cubby house
  • Artworks including a timber sculpture, mosaic birdbath and mural, all depicting local birdlife
  • Picnic facilities including a barbeque, seating, shelter drinking fountain and toilet
  • Art by Boydsta - @boydsta -

This site is being improved in conjunction with the adjacent Capella Reserve. Once completed, the precinct will include a new skate park, walking trails and additional car parking.

The opening is being arranged in accordance with COVID-safe practices.

On street parking is available near the reserve.
