Join Jenny Deans to learn about native bees and other wild pollinators, and how to attract these wonderful creatures to your garden. Make your own native bee hotel out of timber or clay. In this workshop and guided walk you will discover:

  • what native bees look like
  • the role of native bees in conservation and food security
  • what native bees need to thrive
  • top tips to attract and care for native bees in your backyard.

Walk around the Glandore Community Garden looking for native bees and their habitat including nests! Find out about other pollinators in your patch and join the National 'Wild Pollinator Count' to put them on the map. Bring your own lunch and enjoy it in the garden!

11am - Native Bee and Wild Pollinator talk and walk around the Glandore Community Garden

12:30pm - Lunch (BYO lunch and relax in the garden)/Pollinator Count/Bee Hotel making
