Remembrance Day Poppy V2

Commemorating the centenary of Armistice 2018

Service to be held around a memorial overlooking the Gulf St Vincent. Activities from 10 am to 12 midday include:

  • Artwork of 500 poppies
  • Community poppy making
  • Tributes to the fallen woven into fabric
  • Display of military memorabilia
  • Screening of film about Marion's World War Two heroes
  • Performances by Marion City Band and piper
  • Barbecue by Hallett Cove Lions and refreshments

The poppy and woven fabrics projects are supported by a grant of $9000 from the Department of Veterans Affairs
