Things to do
“Shoeboxes of Love” is an intiative started in January 2011 in response to the floods that devastated Queensland. Since then, Shoeboxes of Love has become a valuable resource in disaster relief efforts, having provided support to communities recovering from bushfires, floods and cyclones across Australia.
Café 25 at Glandore Community Centre is hosting a Shoe Boxes of Love morning for the current drought crisis. Show your support by donating new toiletry items or pet products and empty, clean shoeboxes at City of Marion Neighbourhood Centres.
On the Saturday morning help us pack and decorate the boxes, choose a male, female, child, grandparent or pet box to fill and include a letter of support and/or a photo to connect with your wider Australian community.
