A.Prof Kristin Carson Chahhoud 'My Journey to Becoming a Scientist'
Kristin’s journey to becoming a scientist has not been a conventional one! During this presentation she will describe her experience and how a spilt second decision changed the course of her professional life down a path involving medical research. Today, Kristin’s research focuses on integration of technology in health using exciting and novel applications like augmented reality, virtual reality and holographics.
Kristin will talk about what is currently happening in this space, her research using technology to improve health outcomes and what the future of technology in health may be.
A.Prof Joanne Bowen 'The side effects of chemotherapy':
In this seminar Joanne will talk about some of the most common side effects of cancer treatment and why they occur. She will discuss some of the recent research findings from her laboratory that have uncovered links between immune cell genetics and risk of side effects.
