Westall Way Reserve upgrade celebration event

Mayor Kris Hanna will officially unveil a plaque to acknowledge the upgrade.

The event will also include a brief presentation from volunteer members of the organisation Bringing Back the Butterflies.

The talk will include information on how to attract butterflies to a garden with plant selection and design and butterfly varieties.

There will also be a plant propagation demonstration. There will also be free refreshments.

The playground has undergone a $132,000 overhaul based on the theme of an outdoor classroom.

Improvements include installing a butterfly garden, sculpture, performance stage, timber logs, balance beams, educational signage and paths.

The event is being arranged in accordance with COVID-safe practices.
