Things to do
Community members will be provided with textas and fabric which can be used to inscribe a message of reflection, commemoration, peace, or a poem of tribute.
At the end of the session facilitator and artist Michelle Jahn will collect the inscribed pieces and prepare them to be woven into frames as part of a temporary
display at a community Remembrance Day ceremony at:
Heron Way Reserve, Hallett Cove
10am to 12noon
Sunday, 11 November
The temporary art installation will be the centrepiece of a major community event that the City of Marion is funding to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Armistice.
This art project was funded by a Department of Veterans’ Affairs Armistice Centenary Grant.
Inspired by the delightful Australian tale, Fancy Pants, the story shares a vision of inclusivity, community building, and the importance of the Arts ...
