New Playground

Bandon Terrace Reserve has a new seaside themed playground featuring a 5.3 metre high climbing tower with crows nest, a bespoke wooden boat and a timber jetty play deck all set in a lagoon shaped sandpit. Other equipment includes a swing set with toddler and standard swing seats, a trampoline and stepping logs.

The reserve was upgraded in 2019 (opened September 2019).

Sporty kids can play on the new cricket pitch with upgraded nets, a new netball practice court and a modernised basketball practice court.

Families will enjoy the new picnic shelter with barbeque facilities, drinking fountain, walking paths, and a landscaped mound which provide spectacular views of the coast.

New greenery includes 400 native plants and four native trees.

The reserve features artwork donated by the Trott Park Mosaic Group, who are based at Trott Park Neighbourhood Centre.

  • Progressively top dress the reserve (4-5 years)
  • Add new garden beds and mulch (May - June 2020)

This follows Council endorsements from the General Council Meeting on 23 July 2019. Further details are listed under the project history (below).
