Minor Works

Minor works are planned for Brolga Place Reserve to upgrade the open space.

Proposed minor upgrades include:
• new BBQ
• refreshed line marking on the basketball court
• netball post and ring
• fitness / parkour equipment
• new seating
• pathway to basketball court
• natural landscaping

Resident engagement occurred from 22 March to 12 April 2021 via Making Marion. The opportunity to provide feedback has closed. For details on the planned works see the draft concept plan below.

Resident feedback has been collated and, where possible, incorporated into the final design. For details see the consultation report. Construction is scheduled to commence in early 2022.

Brolga Place Reserve

Brolga Place Reserve in Sturt is a neighbourhood playground and was upgraded in 2010, with shade sails added in December 2018.

It has some great equipment for young children. The reserve has some seating where you can sit to watch the children play.

Eight playgrounds in the City of Marion will have shade sails installed to provide more shelter for playing in the summer heat.
