Temporary works - playground open

Covid lockdown and wet weather have delayed shade sail installation works. Mid-August completion is anticipated.

Residents can access the playground and facilities. Relevant areas have been bunted off for minor upgrade works.

Heavy machinery will be onsite when the wet weather subsides. This will enable the installation of a new shade structure over the play equipment area. We appreciate residents' patience as these temporary works are underway.

We hope to have this project completed by the second week of August, weather permitting.

For details see the below works notice, the only change is the completion date.

Dwyer Road Reserve is a neighbourhood playground located in Oaklands Park.

The playground includes the following features:

  • Smart Plaza - furniture with device charging, Basketball area, Public Wi-Fi, Digital Wayfinding, BBQ & waste solutions
  • Smart Playground Equipment - integrated with technology children can interact with and provide utilisation data.
  • Nature Play
  • Connectivity to south through to Marion Cultural Centre, State Aquatic and Leisure Centre and Westfield Marion (Marion Regional Centre)
  • Connection to north through train station plaza’s with facilities for bike storage, toilet, and access to local shops and Warradale
