Edwardstown Soldiers' Memorial Recreation Ground has a neighbourhood playground and was upgraded at the end of 2015 with the theme Snakes and Ladders.
The Robert Street side of the playground has three-metre long snake sculpture for children to clamber over. Wooden planks and steppers mimic the idea of the game and there are plenty of rocks and and logs to test your climbing skills. There's a small slide on near the velodrome side of the playground.
The Wood Street side of the playground features a standard swing, baby swing and basket swing. Sand and Water Play fans will love the water pump and sand digger. Bring some chalk and draw on the large chalkboard or bring some dice and play Snakes and Ladders on the game board on the picnic table.
The courts at Edwardstown Soldiers' Memorial Recreation Ground were upgraded in 2015. The new multi-use courts have basketball and tennis line-markings and are available for public use.
There is a selection of static fitness equipment and a drinking fountain on the south eastern corner of the site (corner of Wood Street and Robert Street). To see how to use the equipment, watch the video below.
The Edwardstown Soldier's Memorial Recreation Ground is home to a number of clubs.
