Playground and reserve upgrade works will start in February.
The George Street Reserve car park and toilets in Marion will be closed from Wednesday, 24 February to late April 2021. This temporary closure will enable construction works to occur as part of the playground and reserve upgrade.
The nearest reserves with toilets are Marion Oval, located 1.8km away and Warriparinga/Warriparingga Wetlands located 2.7km away. Public toilets are available at Westfield Marion located 1.6km away. Alternatively, you can visit the National Public Toilet Map.
George Street Reserve in Marion is a neighbourhood playground which is being upgraded under the Playground Framework.
Consultation on the draft concept plan occurred in June 2020.
A final concept plan has been developed. Construction will start early next year.

George Street Reserve is situated in the Marion Historic Village precinct. It was once the pug hole (source of clay for bricks) for the establishment of the village. Public art is used to celebrate and recognise the site's previous history and importance.
