Harbrow Grove Reserve, Seacombe Gardens

Harbrow Grove Reserve in Seacombe Gardens features a neighbourhood playground, toilets, Bike Mania and plenty of seating, BBQs and shelter to make it a longer stay-and-play location.  Water Sensitive Urban Design was a key objective of the overall design.

This reserve is a neighbourhood playground that was upgraded in 2011, with shade sails added in July 2018 over the junior multistation and swings.

The junior multistation includes a beginners rock climbing wall and slide.  There's a springer nearby.

The 5-way swings are great laugh when you get a group of friends all swinging together, including one baby swing.

The more adventurous can ascend to the top of the tall climbing net for a birds eye view of the reserve.  Or spin around crazily on the stand up spinners.

The playground is fully fenced, however it is not gated.

Outside the playground there is a large irrigated grass kick about area.

Junior BMXers will enjoy navigating the small bike circuit under the shady cool trees.

There are three challenges to further test out their skills:

• Wall Turns: test your ramp skills on the 45 degree walls.
• Tilt Beam: ride up, ride down - it's a seesaw for your bike!
• Indian Bridge: balance and make your way along this narrow bendy bridge.

This reserve is packed with facilities to ensure you can comfortably spend a few hours here.

Two BBQs, a toilet, picnic tables, drinking fountain with dog bowl and bench seats are located near the playground.

There's a shelter, picnic table and drinking fountain mid-way down the reserve on the Eurunderee Street side.

Further seating is situated near the Bike Mania section.

Plenty of indented parking, including disabled parks, run along either side of the reserve.

The Harbrow Grove Reserve development incorporated water sensitive urban design principles to retain stormwater, allieviate local flooding and improve downstream water quality.

The Rocky River swale is a great place for kids to explore or to try your hand at stacking stones.  The large grassy stormwater retention basin is the perfect spot for enclosed ball games or an improvised grass-velodrome.
