Joan Herraman Reserve is a neighbourhood level playground that was upgraded in 2018 (opened April 2018).
The playground features a large undercover climbing net in a sandpit which is linked to a rocky water play area. Choose to climb the rocks or the logs to take a ride down the mound slide. Take a swing in the basket swing or twirl around in the spinning cup. A small kickabout area is also a lovely place to have a picnic and the reserve has logs and rocks to climb on.
There is a picnic table, a BBQ, seating and a drinking fountain. A number of trees have been planted that will provide further shade in the future.
The reserve was previously known as Sixth Avenue Reserve however Council formally changed the name on 15 August 2018.
Sixth Avenue Reserve is home to the Ascot Park Scout Group. Find out more about their activities and joining on their website.

We are excited to announce the reserve formerly known as "Sixth Avenue Reserve" is being changed to "Joan Herraman Reserve." The late Joan Herraman OAM was a former Marion Councillor who was passionate about providing outdoor play and leisure areas in Ascot Park.
