Things to do
Kenton Avenue Reserve in Oaklands Park is a neighbourhood playground and was upgraded in 2013.
It's shady and cool and a pleasant place to stop along the Sturt River Linear Park or take a break at the shelter and picnic table.
See if you can find the the bird boxes which help provide shelter for our native birds.
Although there are no toilets at this reserve it’s a short walk (5-10min) to Oaklands Reserve. On the way you will cross the train track and may see Adelaide’s electric trains in action.
This back-street reserve has lots to do for the nature play adventurer.
There is a water play area with pump channel, large climbing net over a sand pit and a grassy kick-about area. Rocky steps take you down to a talking tube that you can use to communicate with your friends up above.
A basket swing and quad-rocker are in place for the usual play activities.
There is a small selection of fitness equipment at the back of the reserve, along Sturt River Linear Park making this a perfect stop-off for some exercise along your way. To see how to use the equipment, watch the video below.
This reserve is situated along Sturt River Linear Park. Visit our Sturt River Linear Park webpage to download the trail map and spend a day exploring the Sturt River.
This reserve is situated along the Marino Rocks Greenway. The Marino Rocks Greenway connects the City to the Coast to Vines Rail Trail.
