The garden bed inside the tennis court at McKellar Terrace Reserve will be replanted. Denham Avenue Reserve will be upgraded with two picnic benches, one seat, and minor landscaping. Kellett Reserve Land is a biodiversity area and will be planted with native trees and shrubs to enhance the site. A pathway following the current informal trail through the reserve will be formalised. It has been proposed to investigate a 3v3 basketball court at these reserves. These minor works will commence before May 2021.
McKellar Terrace Reserve in Morphettville is a neighbourhood playground and was upgraded in 2013. It features a playground, tennis courts and a shady reserve.
The playground includes a multistation with slide, a basket swing and a carousel. A wooden balance beam zig-zags on the Cobham Avenue side of the reserve.
The upgrade incorporated a meandering compacted gravel path and landscaping around the large trees which has enhanced the natural qualities of the site and accessibility.
The park is a great place for the family to visit with picnic facilities including a BBQ, shelter, drinking fountain and seating.
The southern end of the reserve has lots of shady trees, bench seating and a tap - perfect for spending some time with your favourite pooch.
McKellar Terrace Reserve is home to the Morphettville Park Tennis Club.
