Mitchell Street Reserve in Seaview Downs is a large and grassy reserve, ringed by large imposing gum trees.
Council is working to improve the appearance of unirrigated areas of its reserves so they can be enjoyed by the community. This is part of an ongoing plan to create places for people to play while saving our most precious
resource – water.

The reserve is large enough to kick a football or play a lawn game. There's a bench seat with glimpses of the sea and and a tap nearby to refill your water bottle.
Magpies warble and the wind rustles the leaves. Take a moment to look up at the beautiful branches of the various gum trees.
The large established trees provide gum nuts and bark for nature inspired creativity.
The playground equipment at Mitchell Street Reserve was removed at the end of June 2018 as it had reached the end of its life expectancy.
