Pavana Reserve in Hallett Cove is a neighbourhood playground that was upgraded in 2010 with shade sails added over the playground and Miram Skate Track in June 2018.

Natural Landscaping Upgrade

Council is working to improve the appearance of unirrigated areas of its reserves so they can be enjoyed by the community.

This is part of an ongoing plan to create places for people to play while saving our most precious resource – water.

At Pavana Reserve you will see:

  • Landscaping of the vegetation in the south east corner
  • More than 2,000 native seedlings planted
  • Mulch added around trees

Community information for this work is underway. Refer to the Community Information flyer below for further details including FAQs.

Playground

The playground features a large multistation with stairs leading up to a side-by-side slide, a balancing bridge, rock climbing wall, a fireman's pole and telescope.

Take a run up and swing like a monkey on the gyro spinner - it's great fun for young and old.

The flying fox is set at a lower height making it perfect for younger children to learn how to master this skill all by themselves.

A seesaw, standard swing and baby swing provide further play opportunities for toddlers.

There's a large grassy area to the west of the playground..

Sports

The true draw-card for this reserve is the unique Miram Skate Track...

A wild ride in space. On wheels with a ball bearing system, the two boards slide on the rails. Some children will prefer to sit or lie on the board and have fun sliding on the rails in a laid-back manner, while more courageous or experienced children choose to stand. The triangular net and frame at each end is a resting spot where children can rest and watch the action.

A 3 on 3 basketball court is adjacent to the skate track.

There's a very large grass area with AFL football goals and a soccer goal.

Facilities

The reserve is well catered for longer stays.

Near the playground is a toilet, drinking fountain with dog bowl, a sheltered picnic table and BBQ.

The sports area has a sheltered picnic table and bench seating.

Bike racks are on the path leading from The Cove Road to the toilet.
