Things to do
A new local level playground and reserve upgrade are planned for Peterson Avenue Reserve next year. Resident consultation occurred from 22 March to 12 April via Making Marion. The opportunity to provide feedback has closed. For details on the planned design view the draft concept below.
As a result of community consultation, the playground design has been refined and now includes a small scooter path, reduced tree planting and relocated swing.
Peterson Avenue Reserve in Mitchell Park is a local playground.
It is nestled in the back streets, with low height fencing so it's ideal to bring small children.
There's a small multistation with a choice of stairs or climbing net to get to the slide. Monkey bars are situated next to it.
A shelter with small picnic table and bench seat under shady trees provide space to relax or have a picnic on the grass.
There's a tap near the entrance sign if you need to fill your water bottle.
