This is an off-leash park where dogs can exercise off-leash, except within 5 metres of a playground, at a wetland or when organised sport is being played.

Reserve upgrade

Trowbridge Avenue Reserve is adjacent to Tarturninthi Reserve.

A reserve upgrade is planned for Trowbridge / Tarturninthi Reserves, Mitchell Park this financial year 2023/24. A draft concept plan was developed for community feedback. Consultation has concluded. Details on findings are available in the consultation report.

The project includes a new playground for a range of ages and encourages people to explore, play and enjoy nature. The existing play space will be removed, and the existing basketball court will be retained in the current location.

Key elements of the design include:

New playground play tower with a slide and climbing net as well as a swing, junior rocker and trampoline
Kickabout space
Landscaping including biodiversity plantings and natural shade
Upgraded pathway connections
