Things to do
The Yapinga Street Reserve in South Plympton is a local playground that was upgraded in 2012.
The reserve is fully fenced and features a challenging multistation with rock climbing wall, climbing nets, fireman's pole and slide.
A scooter/bicycle path circles the perimeter of the reserve, with little ramps along the way to test the rider's skills.
Concrete stepping slabs provide an the perfect opportunity to jump or step from slab to slab.
For younger children there's a swing set and an infant swing/shelter.
Picnic tables, seating and a drinking fountain make this a place you can stay awhile.
The City of Marion has a number of reserves along or near to the Mike Turtur Bikeway (listed from the City to Glenelg). Why not spend a day exploring them?
*denotes reserve is a slight detour off the bikeway.
