Your go-to guide for things to do with your school-aged children during the holidays.

From nature-based adventures and crafty fun to sporting sessions and stimulating workshops - there's sure to be something happening near you to keep kids, big and small, entertained.

Crafty critters

Get little brains and little hands busy with a selection of crafty workshops. Kids will love the ample opportunities to get colourful and creative with our range of exciting activities. There is something available for children of all ages, who will enjoy hands-on creativity, learning, imagination and independent skills while they indulge in their own crafty abilities.

Lovers of learning

If your little one loves to learn new skills or hands-on activities, then this is the list for you. Bringing the essence of fun into learning, these workshops will encourage children to explore their knowledge and spark their creativity skills. With a wide age range, join your child for a day out and flourish your minds together.

Sporting fun

Keep the kids active and get their energy flowing with a huge range of free and low cost sporting activities. With a variety of coaching lessons and fitness programs, your child will have the chance to use up their extra school holiday energy well before bedtime. Have a go at the usual suspects like basketball and tennis, or try something a little different like parkour and hip hop dancing. Or maybe try them all!

Come-and-try Fencing

For those who have always wanted to try fencing, Trott Park Fencing Club are offering come-and-try sessions for just $5 per session.

When: Monday, Wednesday, Saturday of week 2 of the holidays
Time: First session: 9.15 am - 11.15 am Second session: 11.30 am - 1.30 pm
Where: Sheidow Park Primary School gym, Alkira Road, Sheidow Park
Cost: $5 per person per session
Wear: Tracksuit pants, t-shirt, sneakers
Bring: Water bottle

Numbers are strictly limited, so spread the word and book your place now.

Entertain me

If your kids love to be entertained, then sit back and enjoy the show with these fun performances created especially for children. If your child loves musicals, movies or watching stories come alive, these theatrical performances will have them hooked and on the edge of their seat.

Environmental warriors

For our young green-thumbs and nature-lovers, we have plenty of nature based activities with an environmental spin. These activities will connect kids with our local reserves and wetlands, filled with ways to explore, observe and learn about our magnificent wildlife. With opportunities for families to attend, these activities will celebrate the beauty of nature and teach little ones about the natural world around them.

Marion Outdoor Pool

The Marion Outdoor Pool opens on the 27 September - just in time for school holidays!

Spend a couple of action-packed hours playing in our new Water Play Park. The park includes a 9.2 metre high x 20 metre wide centrepiece with four water slides, a tipping bucket containing 600 litres of water and water cannons. The area has a 59 square metre splash pad with non-slip surface, water jets and interactive features.

Daredevils will love the water slides, including the 'Twist Slide' and the 'Speed Slide', both starting from the top of the 10m platform.

Westfield Marion have put together a bundle of fun to keep your kids entertained during the school holidays.
