Membership and services

Library Membership

As a member of the Marion Library Service, you are a member of the One Card network and can borrow and return items to any public library in South Australia.

The One Card network gives you access to more than 3 million items from over 130 public libraries across the state.

Your membership also includes access to computer services* including Wi-Fi and online resources such as eBooks, homework help, online magazines, tutorials, reader’s advisory and much more.

*If you are under 18 years of age you will need a parent or guardian’s permission to access the computer services.

​How to join the library?

Anyone who resides in South Australia is welcome to join the library. Becoming a member is free and available to people of all ages.

To join the library you need to:

  • Show personal identification with current address
  • Bring in a parent or guardian if you are under 18 years of age
  • Agree to comply with library policies
Just visiting?

If you are visiting South Australia and would like to use the library on your travels, bring in some photo identification and we can provide you with a temporary membership.

Members are asked to please have their library card with them when visiting the library

How to log in to your account

To access your account online visit the Marion Library Catalogue.

  • Click Log In or My Account in the top right hand corner of the screen.
  • In the field Username enter your member number (underneath the barcode of your Marion Library card X0. . . ).
  • In the field Password enter your date of birth in the following 8 digit format e.g:15031967.
  • Logging into My Account will enable you to change your password, check and adjust personal information, holds, fines and borrowed items.

Computer services

City of Marion Libraries provide free internet and computer services at all three of our branches.

Public computers

PCs are available for use at all of our branches. All PCs provide free access to the internet and windows applications including Word, Excel and Publisher.

An iMac with Adobe Creative Suite is available at the Cultural Centre Library suitable for video editing, graphic design and web development related work. 3-hour bookings are available every day for you to work on your multimedia and art projects.

Free Wi-Fi is available for you at all City of Marion library branches. There are two options for you to connect to:

  • Public-Library-RF (requires library card to log in)
  • CoM-Free
Printing and copying

Printing and copying services are available at all of our branches. The following rates apply.

Black and white

A4 $0.20 per page
A3 $0.30 per page


A4 $1.00 per page
A3 $1.50 per page

Web printing

Web printing allows you to print wirelessly from your home PC, laptop or mobile device at City of Marion Libraries. Send or upload the file you would like to print and come in and collect it from any of our branches.

To access the web print site and login using your library card number visit our web printing page.


Scanning is available free and is undertaken using the in-built scanner in our photocopiers. Don't forget to bring a USB storage device to save your scan.

Library @ Home

We deliver library materials to City of Marion residents who are unable to visit the library due to disability, ill health, mobility issues or caring commitments.
