Venues and facilities
The Sam Willoughby International BMX Facility is now open.
The site features a 220m track layout in a continuous loop designed to be fast and ridden by all skill levels. The majority of the track comprises of long straights which allow riders to generate speed and Rythm between the various single, double and triple rollers.
The southeast corner of the track is compressed into a berm to berm, this will allow for riders to lean into switchbacks, with an opportunity for riders to hit some transfer options through the central complex.
Construction of a $200,000 Marion Council-funded pump track is underway. A community event is being held on the 30 July to celebrate the launch of the pump track.
The pump track will be available for current members of Auscycling. For further information regarding membership, please visit their site, or contact them directly via 1300 137 397.
