About Council
The South Australian History Festival is an annual state wide event exploring our state’s places and spaces, stories, collections and ideas that make us who we are.
In 2022, the History Festival is exploring the theme ‘reimagine’.
The City of Marion has a variety of events, exhibitions and adventures we're inviting you to come and explore during this year's History Month.
Visit all of the Marion Libraries during May to see an exhibition of a unique collection of vintage radios and audio recorders thanks to the Ellison Museum of Radio and Magnetic Recording.
This collection includes radios from local SA manufacturers such as Bland Radio and Philips and Ferry Sound Industries reel to reel recorders along with other items from iconic producers.
Happening Monday 2 May - Tuesday 31 May during library opening hours, there's no need to book, just come along!
