Please understand that with so many great stories in our community and only so many pages in the magazine, we will not be able to include all submissions in the magazine. Stories that will be of interest to a large portion of Marion will have more of a chance to be included. For any good news story, it usually consists of one or multiple elements in the 7 newsworthy elements (a guide used by journalists across the globe), and usually in our community it’s impact, proximity, prominence, novelty, and most of all, human interest. If your story is not fit for the magazine, we will recommend other local opportunities where you can promote your story.
