Review and Selection Committee

While decisions are made at General Council meetings, the City of Marion established a Review and Selection Committee which first met on 1 January, 2017. Membership comprises three Elected Members.

Objective

This committee is established to review, monitor and advise on relevant strategies regarding organisation performance and culture.

The committee’s Terms of Reference have been developed having regard to the powers, functions and responsibilities of the CEO and specify the duties of the committee in detail.

In summary, the committee is responsible for: Sourcing and recommending to Council the appointment of expert members to Committees, reviewing the performance of the CEO, recommending a process to Council for the recruitment of the CEO (as required).

Members

The Review and Selection Committee comprises of the following members: Mayor Kris Hanna (Presiding Member), Councillor Jerome Appleby, Councillor Janet Byram and Councillor Ian Crossland.

Meetings

The Review and Selection Committee meets on an as need basis in the Committee Room, 245 Sturt Road, Sturt from 6.30pm to 9.30pm. The public is welcome to attend.

Meeting dates for 2018 are:

  • 30 January
  • 6 February
  • 1 May
  • 28 August
