Citizen of the Year Awards 2024

The City of Marion will celebrate the fantastic achievements of its citizens during a twilight celebration at the Mitchell Park Sports and Community Centre next month.

The event will take place at 6pm on Thursday 25 January 2024 and feature the presentation of the City of Marion’s Citizen of the Year Awards. We will also welcome around 50 new citizens to the City of Marion

Nominations are open for the awards, which will recognise and celebrate residents who make invaluable contributions in the community.

These individuals demonstrate extraordinary service every day within our communities that are so often invisible to most of us.

The awards to be presented are:

• Citizen of the Year
• Young Citizen of the Year
• Sportsperson/Team of the Year
• Community event of the Year

To nominate someone in the community visit Citizen of the Year Awards 2024.

This event is free for anyone in the community to attend.

Following official proceedings, attendees can enjoy a barbecue and live entertainment outside on the oval.

The City of Marion will also be hosting a free barbecue and live music at the Marion Outdoor Pool on Australia Day, 26 January. Visitors will still be required to pay for admission to the pool.
