Have your say: Toward 2040... together

The City of Marion is seeking feedback from the community to help shape the next decade and beyond.

Council is currently revising its Vision Toward 2040 and reviewing its current 10-year Strategic Plan.

Council is seeking feedback from residents, businesses, visitors, and key partners on what is needed to make the City of Marion a better place.

The City of Marion wants the community to share what they think the future challenges for the council area are and what priorities council need to be the focus for the next 10 years.

Community members can fill out a 10-minute survey on the Making Marion website or visit the Cove Civic Centre or Marion Cultural Centre and provide answers on the interactive question table.

Council will also accept written submissions.

Drop-in sessions are being held at the Cove Civic Centre at 10am on 24 October and 28 November. A further two drop-in sessions will be held at the Marion Cultural Centre at 10am on October 26 and November 30.

The consultation period will close on 4 December.

Council will work to develop the draft plan in early 2024 before returning to consult the community again next year.

It is expected that the final Strategic Plan 2024-2034 will be finalised by August 2024.
