Statement from the Cove Cobras Football Club

The Cove Cobra’s Football Club wrote to us to formally acknowledge the inappropriate behaviour that occurred and to apologise.

We are sharing their letter with you along with the minutes from Tuesday’s Special Council Meeting.

The minutes show that Council has reversed the decision to end the Cobra’s tenancy of the Cove Sports and Community Club. A 12-month licence will be offered provided the club meets strict conditions around behaviour and use of the venue.

Cove Sports and Community Club is a family-friendly facility and we want everyone using it to feel safe and welcome.

We also want the Cobras to be a successful club and change its culture – and we have offered to help them where we can.
