The City of Marion’s Unit Manager Engineering, Carl Lundborg, has received the Young IPWEA Emerging Leader Award at the Institute of Public Works Engineers Australia (IPWEA) SA Excellence Awards.

Carl was acknowledged for his dedication to public works and for his inspirational leadership.

In presenting the award, judges said Carl is passionate about the community, drives a vision for vibrant public spaces and is determined to provide high-quality walking and cycling infrastructure as well as improving access to public transport.

The IPWEA SA Excellence Awards encourage and recognise excellence in the innovation, development, construction, and management of public works projects and the people involved.

The 2022 awards, which relate to achievements during 2020 and 2021, were presented at the 2022 Annual Dinner last week at the Adelaide Convention Centre.

More information about the 2022 awards can be accessed on the IPWEA SA website.
