The City of Marion is accepting applications for its latest rounds of Community Grants and Youth Grants for 2023.

Applications open today (February 1) and close on Monday, March 6, with participants encouraged to visit the Council website for details, guidelines, and eligibility criteria.

“The Youth Grants support not-for-profit organisations in delivering projects and programs that strengthen connections for young people in our community,” Mayor of Marion Kris Hanna said.

Previous recipients include Multiple Solutions, Gener8 Theatre, Islamic Society of South Australia, Whitelion Youth and Junction Australia.

The youth grant program has a total funding pool of $120,000. Eligible organisations may apply for a maximum amount of $10,000.

The City of Marion hosts two rounds of Community Grants every year, with $50,000 available to support local not-for-profit groups with projects and activities that benefit the community.

Groups can apply for grants up to $5,000 and one grant per round of up to $10,000 may be allocated.

Last round Council supported the Marion Historic Village Display Group Inc, Good360Australia, Treasure Boxes, The Queer Society and many others.

Both grant programs aim to benefit the residents of Marion.
