Things to do
An Open Space Plan was endorsed by Council in 2020 to provide upgrades to open spaces across Council. As part of this plan an open space upgrade for the installation of new active recreation elements is proposed at Roy Lander Reserve.
Consultation on these proposed elements is now closed. The results and report are available below.
Consultation Outcomes
In summary a total of 46 respondents filled out the online survey.
Overall results :
The outcomes will result in a multi sport court (basketball/netball) being constructed. A pump track will also be considered, the size will be dependent on available budget. Any other minor furniture items will be considered in line with the existing budget. As part of this project the dilapidated cricket nets will also be removed as they were not a preferred facility to be returned. The nets will be removed in the week beginning 29th April 2024 and the area made good with turf.

Roy Lander Reserve in Seaview Downs is a neighbourhood playground that was upgraded in 2010, with shade sails added in November 2018.
A large multistation, cricket net, bocce court and expansive views make this a reserve worth venturing to.
This playground may just have the largest multistation in the city! There's so much climbing, sliding, jumping, swinging and spinning to do.
Seating and a drinking fountain are located nearby, and the large shade sails provide ample coverage over the playground.
A large grassy kick about area is situated above the playground, with cricket nets.
The playground is best accessed from Davey Crescent.
The western end of the reserve offers spectacular views to the sea. There's a bocce court and a picnic table so you can while away some time here.
This end of the reserve is best accessed from Jade Court or Judith Court.
